LNP WILL INVEST $100,000 FOR BUNDABERG CENTRAL MENS SHED

State Member for Bundaberg David Batt has today announced a future LNP Government will invest $100,000 for the Bundaberg Central Men’s Shed to complete their new shed.

“In 2017 the Bundaberg Central Men’s Shed secured land on Osbourne Street at Norville to build a new facility,” Mr Batt said.

“In mid-2019 construction on the new shed began but has now come to a halt due to a short fall in funding.

“The new shed is at lockup stage but the group has been seeking an injection of funding to finalise the building so they can finalise the work and move in.

“The Bundaberg Men’s Shed currently has approximately 50 members but they are hoping to double their membership once their new shed is up and running.

“Men’s sheds do great work in our community by providing a place for men to come together, share stories, form friendships, provide support and keep busy, learning new hobbies along the way.

“Only the LNP will build a stronger economy, so we can invest in key organisations, just like this one and get Queensland working again.”
